My apologies for not being present at the meeting with CRJD Consultant Group. I have reviewed the consultant’s presentation along with their recommendation on how to move forward and I agree with their position to implement a data warehouse first. This system will aid in our four objectives:

1.     Increase Market share by 2 % (33% to 35%)
2.    Decrease opex to less than 62% of sales
3.    Increase access/visibility to financial, inventory and sales data on a global basis
4.    Reduce inventory levels by 10 % globally

Implementing the data warehouse over the CRM system will not result in greater profits initially; however, it provides some security should the economy plummet. During economic hardship, sales will be expected to decline which makes having a low operating expense desirable.

A data warehouse will also positively impact your company in the customer service aspect as well as employee satisfaction. Employees will have a higher level of accuracy when taking inventory and be able to communicate globally with ease which will assist in our goal of reducing inventory by 10%. As a result, the customer’s needs will be met much more efficiently which ultimately improves their overall experience.
That being said, moving forward with the data warehouse project is the best course of action for the company. If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Best Regards,
Kelly Shaw
